Worthing Fans Donate £500 to Food Charity
Worthing FC supporters have donated £500 to the Worthing Food Foundation, along with food contributions, as part of their Christmas appeal.
The donation, presented before Saturday’s FA Trophy game against Gosport, was raised through the sale of collaborative football shirts created by the Worthing FC Supporters Association’s (WFCSA) Rebel Yell podcast and local artists Two Faced Twins. The funds were handed over in the centre circle at Woodside Road by podcast co-hosts James Easton and Jacco Mulder. The cheque presentation coincided with a food drive that brought in essential items to help local families this Christmas.
The fundraising efforts also included a raffle at the Rebel Yell Podcast’s live December event, attended by players from both the men’s and women’s teams. A limited number of the collaborative shirts are still available for £20 through the Rebel Yell website. The Worthing Food Foundation continues to seek contributions for its Christmas appeal, which can be made online at their official site.
