Worthing Heat Network Alters Construction Schedule to Avoid Christmas Disruption

Developers of the Worthing Heat Network have announced changes to their construction schedule, opting for night works to minimise disruption during the festive season.

Hemiko, the company responsible for the project, initially planned to extend works on the A259 into December. However, following consultations with local businesses and residents, the developer confirmed it will avoid any construction in public highways during December. To ensure the project remains on track, night works will be undertaken in November.

Phase one involves both day and night works at Union Place roundabout, continuing until November 30. Phase two, scheduled for November 25-29, will feature night works only on High Street. During these hours, southbound traffic will be diverted via Sompting Avenue to bypass the partial closure.
