Worthing Heat Network Progresses as Car Park Closures Amended

A major sustainable heating project in Worthing is progressing, with revised dates announced for night-time closures at High Street Surface Car Park.
The Worthing Heat Network, developed by low-carbon energy company Hemiko, is installing infrastructure to provide sustainable heating to buildings and homes across the area.
Hemiko confirmed that the car park will be closed from 7pm to 5am on February 3, 4, and 5 to accommodate the works. During these hours, vehicles will only be able to exit the car park, with Hemiko staff on-site to assist drivers. The car park will remain open during the day, with a road plate installed over the trench where pipework is being laid.
Construction on the High Street section, near the multi-storey car park and adjacent grass verges, is expected to continue until March 2025. Hemiko has advised residents and businesses to check for updates and contact worthing@hemiko.com for further information or feedback.
