Worthing Police Detain Men with Tasers and Seize Aggressive XL Bully Dog
Worthing Police responded to reports of men damaging properties in the Maybridge Square area of Goring on Monday evening, leading to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of a dangerous dog.
The incident began around 7:30 pm on September 2, when police were alerted to property damage in Maybridge Square. Shortly after, further reports emerged of damage to additional properties and a vehicle in nearby Roegate Road.
Officers quickly located three men and three dogs at the scene. When the men failed to comply with police instructions, Tasers were used to safely detain two of them. An XL bully dog, which was off-lead and exhibiting aggressive behaviour, was also subdued with a taser and subsequently seized.
Police have arrested a 32-year-old man from Worthing on suspicion of criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon, and drug possession. A second man, aged 25, was arrested on suspicion of affray and drug-related offences. The investigation is ongoing, and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward.
