Worthing Police Issue Safety Advice Ahead of Easter Weekend

Adur and Worthing Police have issued a safety message encouraging residents to stay alert while socialising over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend.

The advice comes as part of a wider effort to prevent incidents related to drink and drug spiking. Officers are reminding the public to keep drinks attended at all times, and that spiking can also occur through food or vaping devices. The message encourages individuals to remain with trusted friends and to be aware of any sudden symptoms such as extreme drowsiness, confusion or dizziness.

The police are advising people to report any suspected incidents of spiking either to venue staff or directly to the police via 999. The guidance emphasises trusting instincts and taking action if something feels wrong.
