Worthing Pride Parade at Risk of Cancellation Due to Lack of Sponsorship

The Worthing Pride parade is at serious risk of being cancelled this year, as organisers struggle to secure sponsorship and participation for the event scheduled for Saturday, 5 July.
In a social media update, Worthing Pride organisers revealed that no sponsors have come forward to support the parade, and significantly fewer businesses have registered to take part compared to previous years. Last year’s event featured over 35 businesses and 500 participants, while only six businesses have applied so far for the 2025 parade.
The parade, which costs over £6,000 annually to run, receives no financial support from the council or charities. Organisers have reduced the entry fee to £10 per person, which includes access to the main park event, in a bid to encourage more participants. They have urged businesses and individuals willing to sponsor the parade to get in touch, warning that without additional support the parade portion of the celebration will be cancelled.
