Worthing Station Parking Restrictions Cause Concern Among Taxi Drivers

Motorists and taxi drivers in Worthing face new challenges due to strict parking enforcement measures introduced at the Worthing Railway Station.
According to new signs placed by APCOA Parking in collaboration with Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR), stopping on Railway Approach now attracts a penalty notice of £100, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.
Taxi drivers have expressed frustration over the removal of the drop-off bay, which has been the only designated area for taxis to stop near the station.
GTR has suggested alternative arrangements including a taxi rank near the station’s front entrance and a 20-minute grace period in the station car park.
