Worthing Store Calls for Clothing Donations to Support Cancer Research UK
TK Maxx, based in the Montague Centre, is urging residents in Worthing to donate unwanted clothes and homeware to support Cancer Research UK during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The retailer’s “Give Up Clothes For Good” campaign, now in its 20th year, aims to raise funds for children and young people affected by cancer.
According to Cancer Research UK, around 1,900 children are diagnosed with cancer annually in the UK, but survival rates have significantly improved. Over 80% of children now survive for at least ten years, thanks to ongoing research into better and less toxic treatments. The campaign plays a crucial role in funding these research efforts, with donations from TK Maxx customers helping to drive progress.
Since 2004, the “Give Up Clothes For Good” initiative has raised £45 million for Cancer Research UK.
