Worthing's Dome Cinema Marks 113 Years
Worthing’s iconic Dome Cinema recently celebrated its 113 year anniversary. The cinema, located on Marine Parade, was originally opened as The Kursaal, an entertainment hub that included a roller skating rink, before it introduced its first cinema screen in October 1911.

Worthing residents expressed their affection for the cinema on social media. Shelley Newman mentioned, “I’ve been watching films at the Dome Cinema since I was a child, love it there.”
Another local, Stephanie Wickham, praised the cinema’s aesthetic and atmosphere, calling it “beautiful” and feeling fortunate to have such a venue in their town.
